All BC Ringette Associations received communication from Ringette BC on Wednesday that they are waiting on information to be released from the Provincial Health Officer regarding the most recent information shared at the December 2, 2020 press conference with Dr. Bonnie Henry and Minister of Health, Adrian Dix. The information has not been released onto the Government of BC’s website for province – wide restrictions.
The Joint Statement has been released and the information included states the following which will impact ringette activities:
- All adult indoor activities are prohibited including floor (gym) ringette and ringette,
- All low intensity training activities are currently paused until new guidelines are released,
- All youth and children structured sport is to return to Phase 2 of the viaSport Return to Sport Guidelines
As we are still awaiting confirmation of the date in which these new orders go into effect, currently scheduled activities may proceed until further notice, unless advised otherwise by local facilities.
Ringette BC will provide details as they receive them, and the PGRA Board will communicate and plan accordingly. For the time being, the PGRA schedule remains as it is posted, and is subject to change based on communication we receive from Ringette BC and the City of Prince George.Please stay tuned for more information as we receive it.
