Questions

What is FUN3?  Why do I not see U10 as an option?

As part of the Children’s Ringette program evolving one of the things is to make all of the age divisions as part of the FUNDAMENTALS.  This means that there are some language changes.  Here is a guide to registering and then checking to see what ice times your child may have for the season.  IF your child is:

4-5 years old or a brand new skater– FUN1

6-7 years old– FUN2

8-9 years old– FUN 3 (previously (and you still may see it) called U10)

It is important to note that there can be movement amongst these divisions throughout the season as it is based on skating and ringette experience.

Schedules

Please note that these schedules are tentative!! For example, during powerskating, the FUN2’s have moved to share the ice with the FUN3’s.

Once the season begins, I will make note of the changes in red on the schedule and make a note on the website.  The most up to date ones are attached.  You can always find them under the schedules tab.

Ringette Sticks

We will have a limited supply of sticks (mostly FUN size) for sale. Please contact Terry at equipment@pgringette.ca if you are interested.

Photos

If you have any great photos from last season or previous seasons, please send them to president@pgringette.ca.  I am working on the new website and would love to feature the fun we have playing ringette.

Come Try Ringette

You may have seen info out there about our Come Try Ringette events on August 28th and September 11th.  These events are for those interested in playing ringette, so if you know anyone who is thinking about joining, please send them to the website to sign up.

Here is how the start of the season is shaping up:

  • A Goalie Clinic is planned for Saturday October 15th.
  • Team Manager’s meeting is on Wednesday October 5th at 7pm at the Coliseum.
