The Spirit of Competition is Alive in the North!
Ringette was showcased at the Northern BC Winter Games, in Fort St. John. from February 8-11, 2007.
Since 1975, communities across northern BC have embraced the purpose of the Northern B.C. Winter Games Society "to provide an opportunity for all northern residents to compete in organized sport" and have hosted their neighbours in the spirit of friendship and competition.
Originally staged to create new opportunities for students and to encourage grassroots sport programs, the Northern B.C. Winter Games, under the leadership of the Northern B.C. Winter Games Society, have become an annual athletic, social, and cultural exchange among the people of northern B.C.
The participants come from six regions from 100 Mile House and north. Click here to view the regional map.
