2010 BC RINGETTE PRESIDENT'S AWARD

Prince George Ringette volunteer to receive BC Ringette President's Award

The British Columbia Ringette Association is very pleased to announce that
Keith Sullivan of the Prince George Ringette Association will receive its
2010 President's Award.

Keith has been selected as this year's recipient in celebration of his
longstanding dedication to the sport of ringette in northern British
Columbia and specifically in the Prince George area. His continued
commitment to all facets of the sport, from coaching and officiating to
executive work at the local association and league levels, has made a
sizable contribution to the success of ringette provincially.

Keith has been an active coach with the Prince George Ringette Association
since 1980 and has also coached Northern League AA teams, and Zone 8 teams
at the BC and Northern BC Winter Games.  Through his coaching, he has taken
many teams to tournaments and Provincial Championships across the province
and  Western Canada over the years.

Keith has served on the Prince George Ringette Board for many years in
various positions including Coaching Director and currently holds the
Officiating Director's position. He has also served on the Northern Ringette
League Board of Directors.  Keith continues to be an active BC Ringette
on-ice official and volunteers his time at many Northern League tournaments
as well as association games in Prince George. 

In addition to coaching, officiating and executive duties, Keith has
volunteered his time to assist the Prince George Host Committee for the 2000
Canadian Ringette Championships, the 2008 Western Canadian Ringette
Championships, and more recently for the upcoming 2010 BC Ringette
Provincial "A" Ringette Championships to be held in Prince George in early
March.

The President's Award, presented by Sport BC, will be held in Richmond on
March 31st where Keith and other provincial sport winners will be honored
for their achievements.


2008 volunteer of the year Award

Brian Crandell received the "2008 Volunteer of the Year Award" during the British Columbia Ringette Association Annual General Meeting the weekend of May 2-4, 2008
at Delta Sun Peaks, Kamloops. 

Brian Crandell was nominated and accepted the position on the BCRA Board as VP for Athlete Development.


"VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD"

The recipient will have made a significant contribution during the current season that promotes the philosophy of Ringette. This could be through promoting the sport and local association; initiating a new dynamic program; chairing a host committee; developing policy for the association.


2001 Association of the Year Award

The Prince George Ringette Association received the
"2001 Association of the Year Award"
during the British Columbia Ringette Association Annual General Meeting the weekend of May 4-5-6, 2001
at 108 Resort. 

At the Volunteer Recognition Dinner,  Prince George Ringette Association was the recipient of the "Association of the Year Award" for the first time in history.

"Nominees will have displayed above average performance in areas including, but not limited to, publicity, promotion, volunteer/participant recruitment and development, outreach assistance, player development, competition for varied levels of play and generally offering a well rounded program for their membership."


2001 Community Builder Award

At the Volunteer Recognition Dinner, Nycole Ross was the recipient of the "Community Builder Award" for her dedication and timeless effort to the sport of ringette. Nycole was also elected as "Vice President - Promotions" on the Board of Directors of BCRA for a two-year term.

Nominees shall have been involved in a community program for a minimum of three (3) years.
The nominee shall have contributed to the development and/or expansion of ringette within the community, and fulfilled a key leadership role.
