Important Information re: Kelowna Tournament –> Please Read!

Good Afternoon Ringette Families!

As you all know, there is a Winter Storm going through our area and the RCMP are advising that motorists avoid travelling on highways.

The snow is supposed to stop tomorrow morning (fingers crossed) and hopefully the roads are in decent condition to travel on.

Prince George Ringette Association has 9 teams registered for the Kelowna tournament, therefore travelling in these road conditions.  I have been in contact with the tournament director and they are fully aware of our circumstance.

At this time, I would like to ask families to make their own decisions regarding travel this weekend.  If you choose NOT to go to Kelowna, please advise your coach as soon as possible so that if the numbers are too small we are able to let Kelowna if some divisions have decided to pull out entirely.

If you do choose to still travel, please be reminded to take extreme caution and be prepared.  Please pack with you water, snacks, winter wear (boots, mitts, toques, coats), blankets and a shovel. And PLEASE have a plan with your coach or another family when you are leaving and check in periodically during your trip, when it is safe to do so.  Also, please check Drive BC before leaving!!

Please DO NOT feel you have to go if you don’t want to!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
